Promotion

Promotion to the next grade level is contingent upon the student's satisfactory performance in class, as well as participation in internal tests/term exams/annual exams and final exams (including, specifically for STX NV, AP, Danish-history assignments, SRO, project assignments, and for HF history assignments and project assignments).

At the end of the school year, the school assesses each student's progress and learning outcomes.

A student is entitled to promotion when they have an average grade of 2.0 or higher – not weighted – of the grades achieved at the end of a school year – and has taken the required exams, including annual exams/internal exams, as well as major written assignments, project assignments, and the like. The final grades at the end of the school year are included for upper secondary school students.

The school principal may refuse to promote a student to the next grade if the student's average grade at the end of the school year is below 2.0 (unweighted) and if, based on ongoing evaluation, it is assessed that the student's learning outcomes from the course of instruction completed to date have been insufficient.
